Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Friday, March 1st at 8:00 a.m.
Surf at the Pier this morning are Knee high with a rare plus set and clean.
Winds are light and variable currently.
Look for winds to pick up slightly out of the SSW today but overall winds should remain light.
Low tide was at 10:12 this a.m. and high tide will be at 4:23 p.m.
The Edisto buoy is reading 3.3ft at 8 seconds in ESE swell.
Surf is still lingering around the knee-thigh high range. Overall looks pretty weak but should be enough for your high volume sticks. This small swell will be on the decline today and throughout your weekend. Look for surf to ramp back up in a quick shot of SE swell, as a upper level low looks to depart from our area Monday morning. Early Monday could see some Waist+ peaks before dropping quick through the day.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A series of upper level disturbances are expected to bring unsettled weather through early next week. Colder high pressure returns by the middle of next week.”
It’s 59* and partly cloudy. Look for a high of 69* and clouds mixed with sunshine early today. Transitioning to some rain showers later on.
Water temperature is around 59*.
Sunrise is around 6:56 a.m. and sunset will be at 6:11 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
