Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday, Nov. 27 at 8:30 a.m.
Please come check us out to Christmas shop for the surfer in your life. We have gift cards, should the need arise.
Waves at the Washout are ankle to knee high.
Winds are north/north-west at 5 knots, and surf is semi-clean.
We expect winds to rotate to the north-east at 10 knots this afternoon, adding more bump to the surf zone.
We have a high tide at 1:56 p.m. and a low tide at 8:13 p.m.
Edisto buoy is reading 1.3 ft. at 9 seconds in ESE swell.
There is not too much surf in the forecast for the early part of the work week as dry high pressure dominates our weather pattern. We could see a bit of south-east swell Thursday and Friday into the waist high range as high pressure moves east of the mid-Atlantic coast and pushes in a small trade-wind swell. Winds trend moderate north/north-east for most of the work week. Hopefully a long-board wave for Thursday and Friday.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “Dry high pressure will build over the area into the middle of the week. A cold front will move through late Thursday night or Friday with generally dry high pressure to follow through early next week.”
It’s 43* with Sun. Look for a high of 65* and a nice beach day with lots of sun.
Water temperature has dropped to 60*.
Sunset is at 5:13 p.m. and sunrise will be at 7:01 a.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
