Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 8:30 a.m.
Please come check us out to Christmas shop for the surfer in your life. We have gift cards, should the need arise.
Waves at the Washout are ankle to knee high. It’s very small this morning.
Winds are north/north-east at 10 knots, and surf is semi-choppy.
We expect winds to rotate to the north-east at 5 knots this afternoon, and surf stays a bit bumpy all day.
We have a low tide as of report time, and high tide will be at 2:53 p.m. The next low tide is at 9:08 p.m.
Edisto buoy is reading 1.3 ft. at 9 seconds in small easterly swell.
There is not too much surf in the forecast for the early part of the work week as dry high pressure dominates our weather pattern. We could see a bit of south-east swell Thursday and early Friday into the waist high range as high pressure moves east of the mid-Atlantic coast and pushes in a small trade-wind swell. Winds trend moderate north/north-east for most of the work week. Hope for a long-board wave for Thursday. A cold front passes on Thursday night, and surf gets small again for the weekend.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “Dry high pressure will build over the area into the middle of the week. A cold front will move through late this week with generally dry high pressure to follow through early next week.”
It’s 57* with high clouds this morning. Look for a high of 68* and a nice beach day with lots of sun with some clouds.
Water temperature has dropped to 59*.
Sunset is at 5:13 p.m. and sunrise will be at 7:01 a.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
