Surf at The Washout is knee to thigh high with a waist high set. It’s likely to push a little bigger set as the tide continues to come in. It looks really fun for a long-board this morning.
Winds are west/south-west at 5 knots, surf zone is clean.
We have a high tide at 11:22 a.m., and a low tide will be at 4:50 p.m.
The Edisto buoy is reading 2 ft. at 8 seconds in an east/south-east swell.
We should have small, trade-wind swell to start the work week, mainly for the high-volume boards. We see a slightly larger, choppy south-west wind swell building Wednesday into Thursday as a storm and frontal system affects our marine area late in the week.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: High pressure will prevail with dry weather through Thursday. A
storm system will then bring unsettled weather late in the week.
It’s 60* with mostly sunny at the beach this morning. Look for perfect beach weather with a high of 78* with mostly sunny skies today.
Water temperature is around 69*.
Sun rise is at 6:40 a.m. and sunset will be at 7:54 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
