Surf at The Washout is knee to thigh high with a waist high set. It should be good on a long-board or a fish.
Winds are south/south-west at 5 to 8 knots, surf zone is slightly choppy and closing out just a bit at the lower tide.
Look for light and variable winds at 5 knots, increasing south/south-east at 10 to 15 knots this afternoon. Surf zone should get some bump this afternoon.
We have a high tide at 11:36 a.m., and a low tide will be at 5:35 p.m.
The Edisto buoy is reading 2.6 ft. at 8 seconds in an east/south-east swell.
We should have small, trade-wind swell to start the work week, mainly for the high-volume boards. We see a slightly larger, choppy south-west wind swell building Friday as a storm and frontal system affects our marine area late in the week.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: High pressure will prevail through Thursday. Low pressure and a
cold front will bring unsettled weather on Friday followed by a return of high pressure for the weekend.
It’s 65* with mostly sunny at the beach this morning. Look for perfect beach weather with a high of 80* with mostly sunny skies today.
Water temperature is around 69*.
Sun rise is at 6:39a.m. and sunset will be at 7:55 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
