Also, make sure to check out the Warrior Surf Foundation’s raffle at Bohemian Bull on Saturday. Check it out at www.warriorsurf.org.
Keep in mind bulldozers and beach nourishment area taking place at the Washout.
It’s a fine day to be going back to school this morning.
Surf at the Washout is knee high at the Morning’s outgoing tide.
Winds are west at 5 knots, and surf zone is clean.
We see south-west winds at 15 knots this afternoon, going south at 15 to 20 knots late day. Look for choppy surf this afternoon.
Low tide will be at 9:51 a.m., and high tide will be at 4:32 p.m. The next low tide is at 10:42 p.m.
The Edisto buoy is reading 3 ft. at 5 seconds in a combination of medium period south swell and short period south wind swell.
Not much surf to start the work week. We see south-west winds increase on Tuesday night ahead of a cold front on Wednesday. This could push up some choppy south-west wind swell for Wednesday in the waist high range. It looks like we could see a quick shot of high-angled east/north-east wind swell Friday into Saturday morning, but nothing to write home about. The tropics are quiet as high pressure controls the Western Atlantic.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “The area will be situated between an inland trough and Atlantic high pressure through Tuesday. A cold front will approach the area from the northwest on Wednesday, then stall just offshore through the end of the week.”
It’s 78* and mostly sunny this morning. Look for a high of 87* and a 30% chance of a thunderstorm today.
Water temperature is 84*.
Sunset is at 7:58 p.m. and sunrise will be at 6:48 a.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
