New Spring 2019 Beater Boards and Odysea Boards have arrived. Come see what’s new from Catch Surf.
Waves at the Washout this morning are knee-to-thigh high. There is a waist high set, and it is longboard-able.
Winds are south-west at 10 to 12 knots, surf-zone is side-shore, weak and semi-choppy. Look for winds to go off-shore late this morning, cleaning up the surf for afternoon.
We have a low tide at 12:47 p.m., and a high tide at 6:54 p.m.
The Edisto buoy is reading a 4.3 at 5 seconds in a predominantly south wind-swell, with an east/south-east swell 2 ft. at 9 seconds.
Waves look small for today in the thigh high range, with cleaner conditions for afternoon. Surf looks to build during the heart of the work week in east/south-east wind swell. Tuesday, we see colder temperatures and choppy, north-east wind swell blowing down the beach, this swell begins to rotate more on-shore, from the south-east, on Wednesday into Thursday, with moderate south/south-west winds. This south swell should drop off some but still be rideable on Friday, and carry into the weekend.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “An unsettled pattern is expected as a series of frontal systems affect the area through next weekend.”
It’s 65* and cloudy this morning. Look for a high of 66* and clouds today.
Water temperature is around 58*.
Sunrise is around 6:58 a.m. and sunset will be at 6:07 p.m.
