Look for winds rotating south at 5 to 10 knots this afternoon, adding bump to a flat surf zone.
We are coming off a high tide this morning, and low tide will be at 1:21 p.m. The next high tide will be at 7:59 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 1.6 ft at 10 seconds in a long-period east/south-east swell.
Surf looks small to start the work week, with very little wind. Looking ahead to the middle of next week, we see a small south/south-west wind-swell pick up thigh-to-waist high once again.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “An inland trough will generally prevail through the week. Warmer and drier conditions are anticipated early in the week due to stronger high pressure in place. Slightly cooler and wetter conditions should then return later in the week as the high weakens a bit.”
It’s 83* with sun this morning. We have a 20% chance for storms today, with a high of 89*.
Water temperature is around 85*.
