Look for continued easterly winds today at 15 knots.

Edisto buoy is 3.9 ft. at 7 seconds in a mix of medium period easterly swell and north-east wind swell.
We have small easterly wind swell in the water today averaging knee high, and it could build thigh to waist as the tide comes in late afternoon in choppy easterly wind waves. Best chance for surf this week will likely be Tuesday as a stationary front moves north of our marine area late today and overnight, and winds go strong south-west ahead of another approaching cold front. Look for choppy, drifty south-west wind swell to average stomach high. This drops rapidly on Wednesday morning as winds become strong westerly. Surf looks pretty small for the second half of the work week as cool high pressure sets up over our marine area.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A stationary front over southeast Georgia will lift north as a warm front late today and tonight, as an area of low pressure moves through the Tennessee Valley. Another area of low pressure and trailing cold front will cross the area by Tuesday night, followed by cooler high pressure for the latter half of the week. A cold front could impact the area next weekend.
It is 58* with showers and clouds this morning. Look for a high of 66* with clouds and an 80 % chance of rain today.
Water temperature is around 58*.
Sunset is at 7:29 p.m. and sunrise will be at 7:25 a.m.
