Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday, November 19 at 9:30 a.m.

Looking forward to our “Schwack Friday” sale here at Ocean Surf Shop, with $125 off any new hard-board all day, and a 25% off sale on men’s and women’s apparel and more. Come check us out the day after Thanksgiving!

Remember, The Army Corps of Engineers are still pumping sand at the North side Pier this morning, so the area is blocked off.
Waves at the this morning are running knee to thigh high.

Winds are north/north-west at 5 knots, and surf zone is very clean.

Winds are expected to continue westerly today, and surf zone should stay fairly clean all day.

We have a low tide today at 11:33 a.m., and a high tide at 5:57 p.m.

The Edisto buoy is reading 3.3 ft. at 9 seconds in a combination of south-easterly long period ground swell and short period east/south-east wind swell.

We have small but rideable south-easterly swell in the water this morning in the knee to thigh high range. It could be worth a look on the incoming tide early afternoon with relatively clean conditions all day best for the logs. These conditions continue with back-ground east/south-east swell in the forecast for Wednesday. Best for the longboard at the right tides. For late week, we expect a cold front passage. Winds should ramp up north-east and we see choppy, drifty north-east wind swell building for late week. This swell should rotate to south-east Saturday and into Sunday as a low departs our marine area, hopefully pushing up a sizeable wind swell that cleans up and fades Saturday afternoon into Sunday. We’ll keep you updated.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A cold front will move through late today, followed by high
pressure that will prevail into late week. An area of lowpressure will move through the region this weekend, resulting inunsettled weather.”

It’s a pleasant fall morning 60* and sunny. Look for a high of 67* today and overcast skies.
Water temperature has dropped to 62*.

Sunrise was at 6:52 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:17 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
