November 3rd Pier

Clean early, choppy for early afternoon.

Time of Report: 8:30 a.m.
Wave Forecast: knee high
Traffic: none
Parking: plenty
Dangers: getting chilly!

Good morning, this is Annie with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, November 3 at 8:30 a.m.

With the time change, we will move into our winter hours on Monday. We will be open from 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. everyday. Closing at 5 p.m. on Sundays.

Waves at the pier this morning are running knee high.

Winds are WNW at 5-10 knots, and surf is pretty clean early this morning.

We expect surf to chop up some this afternoon as winds increase then switch from the N this afternoon.

We have a low tide at 10:50 a.m., and a high tide will be at 5:08 p.m.  The Edisto buoy is reading 6. ft. at 7 seconds in SW wind swell.   Waves are getting shut down a little bit by the WNW winds in combination with the SW wind swell this morning.  Waves are definitely rideable at the pier on a longboard this morning, but not any bigger than thigh high. We do expect some unsettled weather late Sunday into Monday as a trough forms near the coast. Look for a combination of bumpy east swell and south trade wind swell through the middle of next week.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will prevail through Sunday. A coastal trough will affect the area Monday and Tuesday before a cold front sweeps through late Tuesday night. High pressure will build in Wednesday through Thursday then a cold front will move through Friday

It’s 51* and sunny this morning. Look for a high of 68* and sunshine this afternoon.

Water temperature is now 68*.

Sunset is at 6:27 p.m. and sunrise will be at 7:39 a.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
