Good morning, this is Annie with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, October 27 at 8:30 a.m.
It’s chilly out there this morning-stop by and grab some neoprene before you paddle out.
Waves at the pier this morning are averaging waist to stomach high with an occasional chest high wave out the back.
Winds are W at 10 knots and surf is clean.
We expect W winds today up to 15 knots, maintaining a fairly clean surf zone throughout the day.
We have a high tide at 10:08 a.m., and a low tide will be at 4:34 p.m. The next high tide is at 10:34 p.m. The Edisto buoy is reading 4.9 ft. at 5 seconds in a short period, WSW wind swell. Expect waves to remain around the waist high range through high tide later this morning, then likely dropping off at outgoing tide as we see high pressure move into the area. Air temperatures will rise as the day progresses and into the coming days until another cold front moves down from the North mid to late week, hopefully pulling down some swell, though likely sideshore and chunky.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will prevail this weekend followed by a weak cold front on Monday. High pressure should then prevail until another cold front likely affects the area toward the end of next week.
It’s a 54* and cloudy this morning. Look for a high of 70* and grey conditions today.
Water temperature is now 72*, and it’s dropping fast.
Sunset is at 6:33 p.m. and sunrise will be at 7:32 a.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
