Saturday, March 3 at 8:30 a.m.
We have TONS of new spring apparel for men and women in the shop, including Billabong, RVCA, Roark, O’Neill, Rusty and more. Come check it out and get geared up for warmer weather.
We also received a shipment of Billabong spring and S/S full suits yesterday. Come check them out.
Surf at the Washout is knee high. It is textured and choppy. It is breaking up in the rocks at the morning’s high tide.
Winds are north at 20 to 30. We expect north-west winds calm down to 15-20 knots later today, and small surf all day with strong off-shore winds beating down the surf.
High tide is coming up this hour at 8:53 a.m., low tide will be at 2:53 pm. The next high tide is at 9:20 p.m.
Edisto buoy is reading 8.9 ft. at 12 seconds in very steep NE swell and the westerly wind swell blowing away from our beaches.
Surf gets blown down with strong off-shore/north-west winds today, before we see extra-long period east/north-east ground-swell build Sunday into Monday from a low bombing in the North-Atlantic late in the weekend. Winds will be strong north for the period, but hopefully some of this swell will push through Sunday into Monday.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will prevail through early next week. A cold front will move through Tuesday followed by high pressure.”
It is a chilly 48* with sun this morning. Look for a high of 60* with sun today.
Water temperature is 63*.
Sunset is at 6:17 p.m. and sunrise will be at 6:44 a.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
