Good Morning. This is Annie with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday, Sept. 3rd at 8:30 a.m.

Today and tomorrow we’ll have 30% off footwear and apparel plus $100 off any NEW board in the shop.

Waves at The Washout are ankle to knee high and perfectly glassy with wind less than 5 knots out of the NW.

Look for south-west winds at 5-10 knots adding side-shore chop to the surf this afternoon.

Low tide will be at 12:13 p.m. and the next high tide will be at 6:50 p.m.

Edisto Buoy is reading 2 ft. at 4 seconds in short period ESE wind swell.

Look for ESE ground swell to start moving in on Thursday from Hurricane Irma.  Friday and Saturday are the days to expect the most swell. Winds are expected to stay fairly light Thursday and Friday out of the WNW and N, respectively, then the wind will likely become much stronger into Sunday.  Stay tuned as Irma continues to develop over the coming days.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A cold front will push offshore this morning and become nearly stationary across far Southeast Georgia this afternoon. The front will meander south of the area through Tuesday while high pressure hovers over the southern Appalachians. A cold front is expected to move through Thursday and be followed by high pressure late in the week.”  It is 76* and sunny this morning. Look for a high of 89* with sun and clouds.  Water temperature is around 81*

Sunset is at 7:40 p.m. and sunrise will be at 6:56 a.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
