Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday, December 30th at 8:30 a.m.
Waves at the Washout this morning are running in the Knee to Thigh range with a rare plus set.
Winds are light and variable this morning.
Expect light variable winds today with showers mixed in.
High tide will be at 2:21 p.m., and low tide will be at 8:13 A.M
The Edisto buoy is reading 3.6 ft at 8 seconds in a medium period SE swell.
Swell is sticking around early this am in the knee-thigh range early. Look for surf to improve throughout the morning hours with some sets showing in the waist high range with the tide push. This swell is on the decline through the day. We should have small log waves for most of your work week in the Knee+ range but no significant wave makers in sight at the moment.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A stationary front will meander across the region through tonight, then lift north as a warm front on Monday. A slow moving cold front should bring impacts to the area by midweek. Highpressure returns towards the end of the week.”
It’s a pleasant mild morning current temps at 62* with cloudy skies. Look for a high of 65* and scattered showers.
Water temperature is around 57*.
Sunrise is around 7:21 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:22 p.m.
