Good morning, this is Annie with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, December 29th at 8:30 a.m.
Waves at the Pier this morning are running in the stomach to shoulder high range.
Winds are light out of the SW and surf is clean.
Expect light NW winds today with showers mixed in.
High tide will be at 1:24 p.m., and low tide will be at 7:40 p.m. The Edisto buoy is reading 7.9 ft at 9 seconds in a medium period SE swell and NE wind swell. Still swell out there this morning with clean conditions. A little drained this morning coming off low tide, but as the tide fills in expect some fun, sizey lines. As a front stalls over us today and tomorrow, expect similarly conditioned waves and wind. Get out here while the air temperature is still warm for another few days.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A front will stall across the region over the weekend. The front will then lift back north Monday. Another slow moving cold front should bring impacts to the area by the middle of next week. High pressure returns towards the end of next week.”
The fog is starting to lift this morning and it’s 62* with cloudy skies. Look for a high of 70* and scattered thunderstorms.
Water temperature is around 55*.
Sunrise is around 7:21 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:22 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
