Clean early, bump later.

Time of Report: 8:30 a.m.
Wave Forecast: Flat to knee.
Traffic: Kinda busy.
Parking: Some to be found.
Dangers: A very long flat spell.

Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop “broken record” surf report and forecast for Thursday, June 27 at 8:30 a.m.
We had a camera malfunction this morning, but you probably don’t want to look at flat waves again anyway.
The waves are flat again, so it might be a good time to check out the Hobgood brothers move “And Two if By Sea” at The Terrace Theater tomorrow (Friday) night for two showings at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Come on by the theater and meet C.J. Hobgood. Tickets at the door, or at events.com.
Waves at The Washout this morning are ankle-knee high at the low tide.
Winds are north/north-west at 5 knots, and surf zone is clean.
Look for winds from the east this afternoon at 5-10 knots with a bumpy surf zone by afternoon.
Low tide will be at 9:49 a.m., and high tide will be at 4:17 p.m. The next low tide is at 10:34 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 1.6 ft. at 8 seconds in a medium period, south-east swell.
Not much swell at the buoy, and not much surf at the beach. Surf looks pretty small for the next several days as weak weather patterns don’t throw us much swell. Look for a slight up-tick in easterly swell on Friday into the thigh high range. Tropics are quiet, for now.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will bring mainly dry weather today. A surface trough along with increased moisture should bring unsettled conditions Friday through the middle of next week.”
It’s 80* with sunshine this morning. We have a hot day ahead with an expected high of 91* and hot sunshine all day.
Water temperature is around 84*.
Sunrise is at 6:13 a.m. and sunset will be at 8:31 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
