Clean early. Bump for afternoon.

Time of Report: 8:30 a.m.
Wave Forecast: Ankle to knee.
Traffic: Moderately busy.
Parking: Some to be found.
Dangers: Flat waves for what feels like forever.

Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Wednesday, June 26 at 8:30 a.m.
The waves are flat again, so it might be a good time to check out the Hobgood brothers move “And Two if By Sea” at The Terrace Theater Friday night for two showings at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Come on by the theater and meet C.J. Hobgood. Tickets at the door, or at events.com.
Waves at The Washout this morning are ankle-knee high at the low tide.
Winds are west/north-west at 5 knots, and surf zone is clean.
Look for winds from the east this afternoon at 5-10 knots with a bumpy surf zone by afternoon.
Low tide is at 9:01 a.m., and high tide will be at 3:26 p.m. The next low tide is at 9:35 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 1 ft. at 8 seconds in a medium period, south-east swell.
Not much swell at the buoy, and not much surf at the beach. Surf looks pretty small for the next several days as weak weather patterns don’t throw us much swell. We could see an up-tick in choppy south-west wind swell late day on Sunday, into the beginning of next week, but certainly nothing to write home about.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will bring mainly dry weather through Thursday. A surface trough along with increased moisture should bring the typical afternoon showers and thunderstorms Friday through the middle of next week.”
It’s 78* with sunshine this morning. We have a heat advisory today, with an expected high of 91* and hot sunshine all day.
Water temperature is around 82*.
Sunrise is at 6:11 a.m. and sunset will be at 8:31 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
