The Edisto buoy is reading 3.6 feet at 7 seconds in a mix of short-period south wind swell and an east/south-east swell.
There is some swell at the buoy, and there are some small waves this morning. Today we see east/south-east swell, and there should be some bumpy surf all morning as the tide comes in averaging thigh-to-waist high. On-shore winds pick up this afternoon, and surf gets choppy. Look for long-board leftovers on Friday morning before surf gets small again for the holiday weekend, and the weather gets super hot.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will build over the region this week and will
linger into the middle of next week.”
It’s a beautiful morning. It’s 76* with sun. Look for a hot beach day with sun and passing clouds with a high of 85*.
Water temperature is around 80*.
