Tuesday, March 27 at 8:30 a.m.

Surf at the Washout is thigh to waist high with a plus set in high-angled, drifty, semi-choppy east/north-east wind ground swell combo.
Winds are north/north-east at 15 to 18 knots, surf is drifty and semi-choppy in high angled north-east wind waves.
It should get a bit bigger as the tide comes in late morning/early afternoon.
Look for winds to rotate more on-shore from the east and ease back to 10 to 15 knots later today. Surf should stay fairly choppy and drifty all day.
We have a low tide at 11:38 a.m., and a high tide will at 5:35 p.m.
Edisto buoy is 7.5 ft. at 7 seconds in easterly wind swell, and easterly ground swell combination.
We see high angled mixed easterly swell in the thigh to waist high range today with bigger sets this afternoon in choppy drifty conditions. Winds rotate easterly at 10 to 15 knots this afternoon. Swell fades some overnight, but we should see some long-period easterly mix swell rotate more on-shore – from the south – for Wednesday. Waves average thigh to waist high with a plus set at the right tide. Winds go south-west Thursday before another cold front passage on Friday, so there should be some waves of varying quality in the water for the next several days.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “Strong high pressure centered north of the region will weaken today, then move offshore through midweek. A cold front will move through the area Friday, followed by a return of high pressure this weekend. Another cold front could approach the area early next week.”
It is a chilly 50* with clouds this morning. Look for a high of 61* today with clouds all day and slight chance of a shower.
Water temperature is around 59*.
Sunset is at 7:36 p.m. and sunrise will be at 7:12 a.m.
