Winds are westerly at 5 knots, surf zone is very clean.
Look for westerly winds today at 5 to 10 knots, and clean surf all day.
High tide will be at 11 a.m., and low tide will be at 5:12 pm.
The Edisto buoy is reading a whopping 3 ft at 11 seconds in a long period easterly swell.
There’s a little bit of high angled easterly ground swell in the water this morning, but it’s so cold, no one is on it. We expect surf to drop out some for Thursday before we see a storm system affect our area Friday and Saturday, pushing up choppy pre-frontal, south wind-swell in the waist to chest high range. This fades out Sunday after another cold front passage.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will prevail through Thursday. A storm system will affect the area Thursday night into Saturday. High pressure will then return early next week.”
It’s a cold 40* this morning with sun. Look for a high of 58* and mostly sunny skies later today.
Water temperature has dropped to 55*.
Sunrise was at 7:10 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:13 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
