Time of Report: 8:30 a.m.
Wave Forecast: waist high
Traffic: none
Parking: plenty
Dangers: chilly

Good morning, this is Annie with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, November 10 at 8:30 a.m.

Waves at the pier this morning are running in the waist high range, with a larger wave here and there.

Winds are NW at 10 knots and surf is clean and pretty this morning.

We expect winds to remain from the N/NW today into Sunday at 5-10 knots.

High tide is coming up at 9:26 a.m., and low tide will be at 3:39 p.m.  The Edisto buoy is reading 4.3 at 5 seconds in NNW wind and swell direction. Looks like a good bit of fun on a log this morning at the pier with some long lefts coming through.  As high tide approaches, expect waves to  becoming mushier and weaker.  A cold front moves offshore today, likely taking with it any residual swell and leaving high pressure behind. With more storm systems and another cold front making their way to us early next week, we could see a chance of wind swell, though conditions will depend on the everchanging wind direction.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A cold front will push offshore this morning and be followed by cool, dry high pressure through this weekend. A storm system will affect the area Monday and Tuesday followed by colder high pressure. Another storm system could brush the coast later next week.”

It’s 61* and cloudy this morning. Look for temps to drop later today with a high of 62*.

Water temperature is 68*.

Sunset is at 5:22 p.m. and sunrise will be at 6:43 a.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
