Good morning, this is Annie with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Wednesday , February 13th at 8:30 a.m.
Waves at the Pier this morning are few and far between, but theres a knee high wave breaking right next to the pier.
Winds are NW at 10-15 knots with stronger gusts and surf is still managing to be pretty clean with a little texture.
Look for NW winds today up to 25 knots, diminishing into the evening.
Low tide was about an hour ago, high tide will be at 1:38 p.m. and low tide will be again at 7:53 p.m. The Edisto buoy is reading 4.3. at 5 sec. in dominant SW swell being push around by WNW winds. Pretty darn small out there this morning with some chilling wind gusts as well. With a mixture of weather patterns approaching, we shouldn’t expect too much significant swell. We’ll see winds decrease beginning tomorrow, so cleaner conditions are likely. However there aren’t any swell indicators out there for us for the next few days.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A cold front will move offshore this morning, followed by high pressure building from the west. Dry conditions are expected to prevail through Friday. A series of storm systems are forecasted to bring various impacts to our area this weekend into early next week.
It’s 54* and mostly cloudy this morning. Look for a high of 61* with clouds today.
Water temperature is around 57*, according to un-named sources at the DNR.
Sunrise is around 7:04 a.m. and sunset will be at 6:02 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
