Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, March 2nd at 7:00 a.m.
All day at the Barrel our friends from Warrior Surf have a Oyster Roast, live music, jump castles and food trucks. All to benefit Warrior Surf!
Surf at the Pier this morning are Knee high sets and semi-clean.
Winds are light and variable currently.
Look for winds to pick up slightly out of the south later today putting some texture on the surf.
Low tide was at 11:02 this a.m. and high tide will be at 5:13 p.m.
The Edisto buoy is reading 3.9ft at 6 seconds in SW short period swell.
Surf is back down a bit today as expected running around knee high. Although it does look barely rideable for your high volume sticks. The surf continues to back off a bit until Sunday night. Monday looks like your best bet to surf for the entire next week. Look for surf in the waist plus range Monday before high pressure returns and makes itself comfortable providing nothing for our swell window mid-late next week.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A stalled front will linger in the vicinity today, before lifting north as a warm front on Sunday. A cold front will then sweep through the area early Monday, followed by a reinforcing cold front Tuesday night. High pressure will prevail for the latter half of the work week.”
It’s 62* and cloudy. Look for a high of 72* and clouds mixed with sunshine early today. A pop up shower is possible.
Water temperature is around 59*.
Sunrise is around 6:46 a.m. and sunset will be at 6:19 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
