Good morning, this is Annie with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, April 6 at 8:30 a.m.
We have LOTS of new spring merchandise at the shop, so come on by and see what’s new for spring. We also have spring suits and wet-suit jackets as the water temperature should rise in the next few weeks.
Surf at the Washout is solid stomach high with the occasional chest high wave.
Winds are NNE at less than 10 knots. Surf is clean, with some lines, but there are quite a few closeouts. Still some sections to be ridden though.
High tide is this morning at 9:26 a.m., and low tide will be at 3:20 p.m. The next high tide is at 9:33 pm. The Edisto buoy is reading 3.6 ft. at 7 seconds in a shorter period south-east wind swell with light N winds. We see cleaner conditions this morning with some swell still pumping through. Surf will likely fall off again late-day as we approach low tide, though there might be something to ride at the pier mid afternoon. We see another low & a brief cold front affect our marine area early next week, sending in some south wind-swell early to mid week
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A series of fronts will affect the area through next week. High pressure will return next weekend.”
It’s 61* with sun and clouds this morning. Look for a high of 74* today with mostly cloudy skies.
Water temperature is around 62*.
Sunrise is around 7:02 a.m. and sunset will be at 7:41 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
