Waves at the Washout are ankle to knee high with a rare thigh high set. Surf zone is clean.
Winds are west at 3 to 5 knots, and should come north-easterly at 5 knots this afternoon.
Tide is going out, and low tide will be at 11:10 a.m. High tide will be at 5:31 p.m.
Edisto buoy is reading 2 ft. at 9 seconds in long period east/south-east swell.
Maybe a thigh high longboard wave as the tide comes in this afternoon, but overall surf is pretty small. We should see high-angled east/north-east wind swell build late in the weekend and into early next week.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will prevail through early next week. A cold front will approach the region next Tuesday.
It’s a cool 47* and sunny this morning. Look for a beautiful fall day with a high of only 70* and sunshine.
Water temperature has dropped to around 69*with the cold snap. Might want to get a wetsuit soon.
Sunset is at 6:29 p.m. and sunrise will be at 7:36 a.m.
