Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday, August 12th at 6:30 a.m.

Surf at The Washout this morning is running knee high and weak.

Winds are light out of the east this morning semi-choppy conditions.

Look for winds to pick up East late morning in the 10 mph range surf will become more choppy as a result.

We have a low tide at 12:16 a.m., and a high tide at 6:59 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 2.0 ft at 8 seconds in a south-east swell.

Surf has dropped off as expected this morning showing no more than knee high. High pressure has built in but wont last long as a cold front approaches our marine area Thursday rotating our winds South and should produce a decent shot of South wind-swell for our later work week.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A front will remain stalled over or just south of the area through Monday. Drier high pressure will briefly build from the north on Tuesday, then another front will drop into the area late Wednesday and linger into Saturday”

It’s 80* with sunny skies mixed with some clouds this morning.  Look for a high of 89* today with mostly sunny skies.

Water temperature is around 84*.

Sunrise is at 6:38 a.m. and sunset will be at 8:10 p.m.
