clean

Time of Report: 8:30 a.m.
Wave Forecast:
Traffic: none
Parking: plenty
Dangers: frostbite

Good morning, this is Annie with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Friday, February 1st at 8:30 a.m.

Waves at the pier this morning are ankle high.

Winds are N at about 8 knots this morning and surf is clean.

Look for light and variable winds throughout the day and into the evening.

Low tide will be at 11:35 p.m., and high tide will be at 5:31 p.m.  The Edisto buoy is reading 2.3 ft. at 11 seconds in ESE swell with NNE winds. Surf looks small over the next couple of days until it looks to increase some Sunday in the first part of the work week. We’ll see low pressure develop S and start to move NE Sunday night, hopefully bringing with it waves and warmer water. Air temps looks to increase as well, so it might be our chance for “warmer” surf.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will persist to the north through tonight before weak upper level disturbances affect the area late weekend into early next week. High pressure will then develop Tuesday and persist through late next week.

It’s 42* this morning with sun. Look for sunshine and a high of 59*

Water temperature has dropped to 53*. It should go back up next week as we expect warmer temperatures.

Sunrise is around 7:15 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:49 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
