Pier September 26th

clean

Time of Report: 8:15 a.m.
Wave Forecast: thigh high
Traffic: none
Parking: plenty
Dangers: little drift possible late

Good morning, this is Annie with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Wednesday, September 26 at 8:15 a.m.

The Washout is starting to work again, but we’re still coming to you from the pier this morning. Surf is averaging thigh to waist high.

Winds are WNW at 5 knots, and surf is clean. Looks like a blast on a log.

We see winds switch from the SE this evening at 5-10 knots.

It is high tide at 9:09 a.m. Low tide will be at 3:21 p.m. and high tide will be at 9:34 p.m.

The Edisto buoy is reading 3 ft. at 5.5 seconds in a medium period E swell combined with WNW wind swell.

These stalling cold fronts have been good to us the past couple of weeks.  The ground swell today will likely dissipate tomorrow, before another cold front stalls to the west this weekend as well.  Look for small to medium period surf with light winds into the weekend.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A cold front will stall to the west Thursday and dissipate Friday. A second cold front is expected over the weekend, likely stalling nearby as well.”

It’s 76* and mostly sunny this morning. Look for a high of 87* and sun and some clouds this afternoon.

Water temperature is 83*.

Sunset is at 7:11 p.m. and sunrise will be at 7:11 a.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
