Good morning, this is Annie with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Thursday, September 27 at 8:15 a.m.
The Washout is starting to work again, but we’re still coming to you from the pier this morning. Surf is averaging knee to thigh high.
Winds are ESE at 5-10 knots, and surf is textured and side shore.
We see winds S wind today increasing up to gusts of 20 knots this evening.
It is high tide at 9:47 a.m. Low tide will be at 4:03 p.m. and high tide will be at 10:11 p.m.
The Edisto buoy is reading 2.6 ft. at 5 seconds in an easterly swell and SW wind swell.
We see low pressure to our North and a couple of cold fronts to our west moving through into the weekend. Forecasters are predicting a cold front to mostly take over early next week which could bring with it some minimal ground swell depending which angle it hits us. We’ll see a bout of high pressure for most of next week, however which will likely weaken surf late next work week.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A stationary front will remain to our west and northwest through the weekend. A cold front will overtake this front early next week, pushing through our area by Monday. High pressure will then build from the north towards the middle of next week.
It’s 76* and mostly sunny this morning. Look for a high of 88* and sun and some clouds this afternoon.
Water temperature is 83*.
Sunset is at 7:11 p.m. and sunrise will be at 7:11 a.m.
