Good morning, this is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, February 10 at 8:30 a.m.

Come check out our wetsuit sale. All full-suits marked down at least 20% and you’ll need one for the next two months.

We are planning to hold the Icebox Open on a weekend with some good waves sometime after Valentine’s Day, so keep an eye out for the big cold-water showdown!

Surf at the Washout this waist to stomach high. There is a chest set.

It is drained out at the morning’s low tide, but could get better form as the tide comes in.

Winds are SSE at 5 to 10 knots, and surf is clean.

We see southerly winds at 10 to 15 this afternoon, which will give the waves some texture.

Low tide is at 9:55 a.m. high tide will be at 4:01 p.m. and the next low tide is at 10:06 pm.

Edisto buoy is reading 5.6 ft. at 8.3 seconds in short-period east/north-east wind swell.

We see clean, east north-east wind waves today averaging waist to chest high with a possible bigger set on the incoming tide late morning.  We have some fun looking waves on tap for today – east to south-east swell – today and  into Sunday as a warm front lifts north. Sunday should be the bigger day, with a bit more southerly chop in the surf zone. We see rideable trade-wind swell at the beach to begin your next work week Monday into Tuesday, so there is some surf of varying size and quality in the forecast into early next week.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure to the north will shift east today, as a warm front develops to the south, then lifts north of the area tonight. A cold front to the northwest will shift closer to the area over the weekend, before moving through early next week. High pressure will return for the latter half of the week.”

It is partly cloudy and 58* this morning. Look for a high of 69* with cloudy skies.

Water temperature is right around 53*.

Sunset is at 5:55 p.m. and sunrise will be at 7:10 a.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
