Good morning, this is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday, February 11 at 8:30 a.m.

Come check out our wetsuit sale. All full-suits marked down at least 20% and you’ll need one for the next two months.

We are planning to hold the Icebox Open on a weekend with some good waves sometime after Valentine’s Day, so keep an eye out for the big cold-water showdown!

Surf at the Washout this waist to stomach high +.

It is drained out at the morning’s low tide, but could get better form as the tide comes in.

Winds are SSW at 5 to 10 knots, and surf is clean.

We see winds increase out of the SSW at 10 to 15 this afternoon, and that could add some texture to the surf.

Low tide is at 10:47 a.m. high tide will be at 4:52 p.m

Edisto buoy is reading 5.9 ft. at 7 seconds in ESE swell.

We see waist to stomach high waves with a + set now and then with light wind out of the SSW for some clean and glassy wave action.  The winds are forecasted to stay SSW but to pick up to 20-25 this afternoon and add some chop to this swell. Low tide kinda has a strangehold on the waves right now but that should let up after the tide switches. We see rideable trade-wind swell at the beach to begin your next work week Monday into Tuesday, so there is some surf of varying size and quality in the forecast into early next week.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure to the north will shift east today, as a warm front develops to the south, then lifts north of the area tonight. A cold front to the northwest will shift closer to the area over the weekend, before moving through early next week. High pressure will return for the latter half of the week.”

It is foggy and 65* this morning. Look for a high of 68* a 20% chance of rain.

Water temperature is right around 53*.

Sunset is at 5:55 p.m. and sunrise will be at 7:10 a.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
