Surf at the Washout is knee high. Rarely a thigh set.
Winds are WNW at 15-20 knots and surf is semi-clean and weak. We expect north-west winds at 15 to 20 today, going west late day at 15 to 20.
We just had a low tide at sunrise, high tide will be at 12:29 p.m. The next low tide will be at 6:34 p.m.
Edisto buoy is reading 3 ft. at 16 seconds in long-period east/south-east ground swell.
Small swell is beat down with strong off-shore winds today. You can still see swell on the horizon headed south. Waves fade out for Friday and Saturday. We see short period south wind swell pick up for Sunday into the waist to chest high range in choppy, wind-blown conditions as a low pressure system affects our marine area. Surf looks to be small to start the next work week after a quick clean up on Monday morning.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will build in from the west through Saturday. A low pressure system will affect the region Sunday and Sunday night. Cool and dry high pressure will rebuild for much of next week.”
It is a cold 37* with sun and wind this morning. Look for a high of only 57* with sun all day.
Water temperature is back down to 59*.
Sunset is at 6:22 p.m. and sunrise will be at 6:37 a.m.
