Good morning, this is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for
Wednesday, March 7th at 8:30 a.m.

We’re gearing up for spring around the shop, stop by to see what’s new and pick up a new spring suit or jacket while you’re here!

Congrats to the College of Charleston Cougars for winning the CAA Basketball Championship last night and getting a spot in the NCAA Basketball Tournament! First time since 1999!!!

Surf at the Washout is running in the waist to stomach high range. Waves are semi choppy as we approach high tide.

Winds are WNW at 15-20 knots and surf is semi-choppy. We expect winds to remain about the same all day.

High tide is coming up at 11:49 a.m., low tide will be at 5:48 pm.

Edisto buoy is reading 2.6 ft. at 14 seconds in medium period ESE swell/wind steep swell angle.

Winds are west northwest but there are still a couple of the last waves of this swell coming in. Winter storm Riley has passed us with swell headed to FL but there is another NE storm right behind this one, keep checking this report and we’ll keep you in the loop!

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A cold front will move through tonight, followed by high pressure through Saturday. A storm system will affect the area Saturday night and Sunday, then high pressure will rebuild.”

It is 54* with sun and wind this morning. Look for a high of 63* with all day.

Water temperature is 61*.

Sunset is at 6:19 p.m. and sunrise will be at 6:48 a.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
