Time of Report: 8:30
Wave Forecast: waist, occ. stomach
Traffic: none
Parking: plenty
Dangers: gnats

Good morning, this is Annie with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for
Tuesday, March 6th at 8:30 a.m.

We’re gearing up for spring around the shop, stop by to see what’s new and pick up a new spring suit or jacket while you’re here!

Surf at the Washout is running in the waist to stomach high range. Waves are mushy and lully and water is flowing to the rocks as we approach high tide.

Winds are WNW at less than 5 knots and surf is clean. We expect winds to switch from the S as the day progresses with gusts up to 20 knots this afternoon.

High tide is coming up at 10:55 a.m., low tide will be at 5:02 pm. The next high tide is at 11:31 p.m.

Edisto buoy is reading 3.6 ft. at 7 seconds in medium period E/WSW swell/wind swell angle.

There are definitely a few waves to be caught, however as the tide keeps filling in, surf will only get mushier. As this large storm moves down the coast, we expect winds to continue to switch and rotate throughout the coming days. Winds are expected to be W for your Wednesday morning before increasing as the day progresses.  Might be a chance for more clean surf tomorrow morning.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A cold front will move through tonight, followed by high pressure through Saturday. A storm system will affect the area Saturday night and Sunday, then high pressure will rebuild.”

It is 56* with sun this morning. Look for a high of 68* with sun and showers this afternoon.  Water temperature is 61*. Sunset is at 6:19 p.m. and sunrise will be at 6:48 a.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
