Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Tuesday, June 25 at 7:15 a.m.
Surf at the Washout is ankle to knee high. It’s longboardable, but not very good.
Winds are north-west at 5 to 10 knots. Surf zone is very clean.
Look for winds to increase from the south at 10 to 15 knots today, chopping up the surf this afternoon.
High tide is at 7:08 a.m., and low tide will be at 1:14 p.m. The next high tide is at 7:49 p.m.
The Edisto buoy is reading 2 ft. at 6 seconds in a small, south-easterly swell.
Look for an increasing, short-period, choppy, weak south wind swell today into the knee-to-thigh high range as the tide comes in late afternoon. We still see short period south-west wind swell this week with no REAL swell-makers off shore. Look for surf to average knee high with perhaps some thigh high waves in weak conditions for your work week.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A stalled cold front north of the area will move south toward the Lowcountry tonight before dissipating Wednesday. Weak low pressure will then linger over or near the area into early next week.”
It is 75* and very nice this morning with partly cloudy skies. There is a heat advisory in effect again today with a high of 88* with a 20% chance of a thunderstorm.
Water temperature is up to 85*.
Sunset is at 8:31 p.m. and sunrise will be at 6:13 a.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
